Don't know if any of you have tried to download anything from Morpheus, but the whole Morpheus site is essentially down. Rumor has it that some members of www.2600.com hacked the site and crashed it. Interesting if true

Please please. We'd all prefer if you used the term "piehole" instead. The other way is just crude!

Not so Troll.
A new security hole has been discovered in one of the world's most popular file-swapping programs which could allow anyone to gain private information about its millions of users.
Security experts have found a way to gain access to the computer hard drives of users of Morpheus, which has taken over from Napster as the leading internet song-swapping service.
It means that the personal details of up to two million people could be exposed to prying eyes...
Member of the security group 2600 said they have been investigating this problem since coming across it on Friday...
"We're not sure what it is that makes some Morpheus members vulnerable to this," said one, who asked to remain anonymous.

This happens when morons share the contents of their entire drive. Don't believe me? Search on explorer.exe or pbrush.exe or any other file that should only exist in the users windows directory. The article has zero facts or details, just lots and lots of stupidity.

Morpheus users' private files are vulnerable? Who gives a rat's ass...
The real issue here is the question as to why Atari went from the classic 6 switch console to the 4 switch console on the 2600. The 6 switch unit was much more asthethic in appearance, and you didn't have to reach around the back of the unit to change up from difficulty B to A.
Nothing beats slamming your Space Invaders opponent to A and pissing him off.
